Innovation and Business Skills Australia, was established in 2004 as a Company limited by guarantee. The IBSA Constitution sets out the guidelines and powers of the Members and the Board.
19 member organisations include the peak bodies, Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU), Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the Australian Industry Group (AiG).

Governance and Nominations Committee establishes the process for identification of Board candidates including recommending suitable candidates to stand for election as Directors at the annual general meeting of the Company
The Board meets six times a year including a Strategic Planning day.
